Gurugram · Sector 48, Sohna Road
Twenty-four towers, 644 homes and a decade of settling in. The balconies here are ready for a second act.

What we know
Vipul Greens is one of the older societies on Sohna Road: 17 acres in Sector 48, 24 mid-rise towers and 644 homes, handed over around 2013, with 3 and 4 BHKs from about 1,630 to 3,400 sq ft and a few penthouses on top. Subhash Chowk, Omaxe Celebration Mall and Park Hospital are minutes away, and the society sits between Uppal Southend, Malibu Towne and South City II. The water is a mix of corporation supply and borewell, which matters more to a plant than to a person.
A ten-year-old balcony usually has a ten-year-old balcony garden: a few survivors in cracked pots, a railing planter that drips on the neighbour, and a drying rack in the best corner. We start by moving the rack. Then the sunny side becomes a kitchen garden or a flowering wall, the shaded side gets the ferns and the seat, and every planter goes on a tray. Sohna Road dust and the pigeons that know every ledge in Sector 48 are planned for, not discovered later.
Your space
Every plan starts with a free visit. These are the ideas we usually bring.
Deep troughs of herbs, chillies, spinach and cherry tomatoes on the side that gets morning sun, with drip on a timer. Picked daily from November to March.
Teak deck tiles, a two-seater and a low table on the shaded side, with a tall plant for privacy from the next balcony. Most Vipul Greens balconies fit this and still leave a path.
For the top-floor homes: a pergola, planters on feet, shade on the west, and lighting for the evening. Terraces from ₹1,50,000.
Plants that last here
Bore water leaves a white crust and slowly weakens fussy plants. We pick tolerant ones (snake plant, areca, bougainvillea, jasmine), use a free-draining mix and flush the pots on Care visits.
Leaves dull within a week. Glossy foliage that washes clean beats fuzzy foliage that holds the dust, and a quick rinse is part of every visit.
They have had ten years to learn the ledges. Dense planting at the railing, no bare soil and nowhere flat to land fixes most of it; a discreet net only if your tower already uses one.
Lower floors get neighbour shade for part of the day. We map the hours of sun at the visit and put the sun-lovers only where the sun actually lands.
Society rules
Vipul Greens has an active RWA with an office inside the society; we have not seen a published balcony rulebook, so the designer checks with them. Nothing hangs outside the railing, nothing is drilled, and every planter sits on a tray so the balcony below stays dry.
What it costs
Starting prices include design, plants, planters and installation.

Questions
Yes; that is the most common Vipul Greens balcony. We clear what is dead, move the drying rack to the least sunny spot, go vertical on one wall and put a seat where the shade is. A ₹9,999 balcony is designed for exactly this and is usually done in a morning.
Free site visit
Three details and a designer calls back within the hour, Mon–Sat, to fix a time. The visit is free and you are not committing to anything.
